Rehab swim group "Waterdevil"

Disabled children have to cope with a few restrictions in their lifes. With an aimed support these boys and girls get a second chance and they are able to develop new leeways. Katarina Witt Foundation reassures disabled children, leads them to sports which amuses them and gives them self-confidence and power. In Schwerte in Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany Katarina Witt funds a swim group for children who are mentally disabled. Meanwhile there are three groups practicing weekly and they are learning playfully to get along in the water and to share the feeling of success. The swim club Schwerte initiated this adventure and experiental education program together with the local alliance for family in Schwerte. There are still children waitlisted - with your help the offer can be extended: more classes and a better equipment with exercise and play material - these are the goals for which Katarina Witt Foundation has given donations.
