Aid projects for children with physical disabilities
The Katarina Witt Foundation administrates direct aid and concerns itself with the mobility of children with physical disabilities. The Katarina Witt Foundation works, for instance, with the Otto Bock Health Care company to provide modern, fully mechanical arm and hand prostheses, which can, to some degree, substitute a healthy arm, making it possible for kids to become more independent and thereby giving them the courage to face life again.
Aid project in Vietnam for Luong
Luong came into the world with only one arm. The long-term effects of a phytotoxin used in the Vietnam war were responsible.
